Ryan Adams fleshes out fall tour

Singer/songwriter Ryan Adams has turned a brief fall outing into a long one by booking a slew of new dates that will keep the singer on the road through late October.

Adams, who continues to back his latest release, "Easy Tiger," is currently finishing up the summer portion of his tour, with two Colorado dates left on the schedule, including tonight's (8/2) show in Boulder.

Following a one-off appearance at the moe.down festival in Turin, NY, the fall leg of the singer's trek kicks off Sept. 13-14 in Charlottesville, VA, with the itinerary now expanded to 23 cities before ending with a Halloween show in New York City. Details are shown below.

"Easy Tiger," which hit stores in June, is the Adams' first studio effort since his prolific output of 2005, which saw the May release of a double album titled "Cold Roses" and the September release of "Jacksonville City Nights," both of which are credited to Ryan Adams & The Cardinals. A third set titled "29" followed in December of that year, and was billed as a solo set from Adams.

Adams reunited with his former manager, John Silva, before recording the new album. "I just crawled back and said, 'Look, I made a mistake, many mistakes--I don’t know what to do,'" the singer recently told the New York Times.

"I got good advice on what tunes seemed to be working, and how to pace myself," he told the newspaper of Silva’s help in piecing together the tracklist for the album. "He led me to view that process as a type of discipline--like going to the gym or something. Focus. Work on one thing. Make the one thing really good."
