With their new album set to hit shelves next week, The Smashing Pumpkins [ tickets ] have announced their first full-scale North American tour since 2000.

The resurrected band is in the midst of a sold-out residency in Asheville, NC, and will begin an 11-show run of sold-out gigs at San Francisco's Fillmore July 15. Between residencies, the Pumpkins will jet to East Rutherford, NJ, for the massive Live Earth concert on July 7. They'll head to Europe in August and will be back in North America for the Sept. 8 launch of their fall trek at Montreal's Osheaga Festival.

Dates include two-nighters in Boston and Upper Darby, PA, and more are expected to be added to the itinerary. Confirmed shows are listed below. Tickets go on sale July 14.

On the road, original Pumpkins singer/guitarist Billy Corgan and drummer Jimmy Chamberlin will be joined by guitarist Jeff Schroeder, bassist Ginger Reyes and keyboardist Lisa Harriton.

The Smashing Pumpkins' sixth album, "Zeitgeist," is due July 10. The set is the group's first collection of new material since 2000's "Machina/The Machines of God." The first single, "Tarantula" is currently heating up modern rock and mainstream rock charts. The video for the tune is streaming at the Pumpkins' website. Another track from the record, "Doomsday Clock," can be heard at the band's MySpace page.

Meanwhile, the Pumpkins will play their first televised performance since 2000 on the July 9 episode of "The Late Show with David Letterman."
