Paul McCartney sets free Hollywood gig

Paul McCartney has announced plans to play a free concert at a Los Angeles record store on Wednesday (6/27).

The singer/songwriter is scheduled to take the stage at Hollywood's Amoeba Records at about 7:30 PT. Wristbands will be available at Amoeba Records at 12:30 p.m. on the day of the show, according to a statement posted on McCartney's website.

McCartney, who is promoting his new album, "Memory Almost Full," played a free concert at New York City's Highline Ballroom last week.

The former Beatle's latest solo album marked the first-ever release for Starbucks' Hear Music label.
