Aerosmith rocks its way back to America

Aerosmith will be back in North America next month for a few shows following the band's current tour of Europe.

So far, the rockers have four North American dates on the books--two in Canada and two in California--beginning July 19, according to Aerosmith's official fan club website. Those gigs are listed below.

The band has been in Europe since early this month, and last weekend played its first UK gig in eight years at London's Hyde Park Calling festival, according to The Sun newspaper. The rockers surprised fans by bringing Darryl McDaniels of Run DMC on stage for the rock-rap rendition of "Walk This Way."

The Euro trek, dates for which can be found at Aerosmith's fan club site, extends through July 12.

The Grammy-winning band, still going strong after 30 years, expects to release its 15th studio album in 2008, according to a report in the UK's Daily Mirror. Last September, Aerosmith offered up "Devil's Got a New Disguise," a best-of collection that includes a couple of new songs--the title track and "Sedona Sunrise"--as well as a pop-remix version of power anthem "I Don't Want to Miss a Thing."

The Rock and Roll Hall of Famers have sold more than 100 million albums and have been named one of the best-selling American rock bands of all time by the Recording Industry Association of America.
