Aaron Lewis follows Staind tour with solo dates

Staind frontman Aaron Lewis is packing up his guitar for another solo-acoustic tour that will take him to intimate venues all over the US.

The "Have Guitar, Will Travel" outing launches July 27 in Sioux Falls, SD, and will feature Lewis performing Staind hits along with obscure cover tunes and audience requests. The Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter's initial solo run, which began late last year, was nearly sold out, according to a press release.

Before Lewis takes off on his own, he'll get his rock-star mojo working on the Staind /Nickelback tour, which kicks off next week with a few dates in Canada and continues through July with US shows in the East and Midwest.

Itineraries for Lewis and Staind are listed below.

Last November, Staind released its first-ever hits collection, "The Singles: 1996-2006," which comprises rock radio hits including "It's Been Awhile," "For You," "So Far Away," and "Right Here," along with never-before-released live acoustic covers of Pink Floyd's "Comfortably Numb," Tool's "Sober" and Alice in Chains' "Nutshell."

At the same time, the band offered up "Staind: The Videos," featuring 14 music videos and live, acoustic versions of "Everything Changes" and "Sober."

Staind's most recent studio set, 2005's "Chapter V," became the band's third album in a row to debut at No. 1 on The Billboard 200 chart. The group is scheduled to release new material next year, according to a press release.

Lewis told MTV in an interview last year that he is also working on a solo album.
