Rascal Flatts unveil busy summer slate
The itinerary is in for the first leg of Rascal Flatts ' "Still Feels Good Tour," which will criss-cross the US from July to September.
The country-pop trio will start with a two-night stand July 13-14 in Uncasville, CT, and then make its way across 25 more cities, ending Sept. 16 in Glendale, AZ. A second two-nighter is scheduled Aug. 3-4 in Stateline, NV.
Country newcomer Jason Aldean , whose sophomore album, "Relentless," debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart earlier this month, will open the tour. Dates are listed below.
Rascal Flatts have been in the studio with award-winning producer Dan Huff, working on their fifth studio album, which is set for a Sept. 25 release.
The band's latest set, last year's "Me and My Gang," debuted at the top of The Billboard 200 chart and became the biggest sales debut of the year with 722,000 copies sold in the first week. Touring behind that multiplatinum album, Rascal Flatts played to more than 1 million fans in 74 cities last year and completed 2006 as the best-selling artist across all genres, according to a press release.
"Me and My Gang" spawned the crossover hits "Stand," "My Wish" and "What Hurts the Most," all of which are streaming at Rascal Flatts' MySpace page.
So far this year, the band has scored a couple of People's Choice Awards for its remake of "Life is a Highway," won Video of the Year honors at the CMT Music Awards and brought home its fifth consecutive Vocal Group of the Year trophy from the Academy of Country Music Awards.
