Mary J. Blige’s Itinerary Continues To Take Shape
Several new dates have been added to the itinerary for Mary J. Blige ’s upcoming three-month U.S. tour in support of “Mary,” her fifth album. Blige’s tour schedule also has undergone a few other date and venue changes since plans for the tour were first announced in April, and a few more tweaks are likely.
Blige will be appearing on the BET television program "Access Granted" on Thursday (5/25), during which her new video for “Your Child” will be premiered.
“Mary” peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 album chart last year, and remains in the top 100. Blige has edged away from hip-hop and into full-fledged R&B since her 1991 debut.
In late April, Blige performed in South Africa as part of that country's Freedom Week celebration.
