Briefly: Prince, Martina McBride, Jordin Sparks, Monolith Festival, Godsmack

Prince has teamed with Verizon Wireless to distribute a new song titled "Guitar," the first single from his forthcoming album,"Planet Earth."

Verizon Wireless subscribers armed with a properly equipped phone can follow a series of steps, after which they'll be able to download "Guitar" for free, according to a press release. Additional details are available at Verizon Wireless' music website.

Prince, who currently doesn't have a record label, is expected to offer up "Planet Earth" this summer. A release date for the set, which follows last year's "3121," has not been announced.
