G. Love quenches summer with 'Lemonade' tour
G. Love & Special Sauce , who are out conquering the world behind their August release, "Lemonade," will do another run of US dates beginning in August.
The blues-infused hip-hop band led by G. Love, a.k.a. Garret Dutton, is headed for Germany and England this month, and will be back stateside beginning Aug. 4 in Coast Mesa, CA. So far, the outing takes in dates from coast to coast through early September. US shows are listed below; overseas gigs can be found at G. Love's website.
"Lemonade" is the band's second album for Jack Johnson's Brushfire Records. The 14-track set features a host of G. Love buddies, including Johnson, Ben Harper, Donovan Frankenreiter, Jasper, Dave Hidalgo of Los Lobos, Blackalicious, Tristan Prettyman and Marc Broussard.
The record's latest single, "Beautiful" featuring Prettyman, is streaming at G. Love's MySpace page, as are the tunes "Hot Cookin'" "Ride," and "Rainbow" featuring Johnson. Radio interviews in which Dutton plays acoustic versions of some of the songs are streaming at the band's website.
G. Love & Special Sauce have 13 years and seven albums under their belt and have sold more than a million units worldwide, according to the band's bio.
