Deftones Line Up Shows In Support Of “White Pony”

The Deftones have announced the initial dates for a North American tour that will likely run through August. The alt-metal band’s third album “White Pony” (Maverick) is scheduled for release on June 20.

The tour, which mixes club dates and radio festival appearances, is scheduled to begin on June 21 in Philadelphia. Before the tour opens, however, the Sacramento, Calif.-based band will appear on the bill of WHFS radio’s “HFStival 2000” in Washington D.C.

According to Maverick Records, the Deftones' single "Change (in the House of Flies)," the first single from "White Pony," has been the most added song on alternative and rock radio for the past two weeks.

The band’s first two albums, "Adrenaline" (1995) and "Around the Fur" (1997), are both certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America, according to Maverick.
