Diana Krall adds new dates to summer tour
Singer Diana Krall has added a number of new shows to her summer touring calendar--including several West Coast dates--as she continues to back her most recent album, last year's "From This Moment On."
The newly announced shows push the singer's summer itinerary to more than 20 cities from June through September, including her previously announced June 14-17 Las Vegas engagement at the Hilton Theater, where she'll be backed by the Clayton/Hamilton Jazz Orchestra.
The Canadian songstress will kick off her summer trek June 8 in Oakland, CA. Full details are listed below.
"From This Moment On," Krall's 11th studio album of a career that began with 1993's "Steppin' Out," hit stores last September. The album netted the singer a pair of Canadian National Jazz Awards earlier this month: Female Vocalist of the Year and International Musician of the Year.
The album also won the award for Best Jazz Album at this year's Juno Awards, the Canadian equivalent of the Grammys.
