A month-long run of North American arena dates has been added to Ricky Martin [ tickets ]'s Black & White Tour.

The singer will begin his US trek tomorrow (4/17) with three shows in California and then make his way across the country, stopping for a couple of shows in Canada along the way. The itinerary is listed below.

The world tour began in February with a record-setting run of four consecutive sold-out nights at The Jose Miguel Agrelot Coliseum in Martin's native Puerto Rico. The concerts drew more than 60,000 fans, according to a statement.

The Grammy-winning star is supporting his November CD/DVD release, "Ricky Martin: MTV Unplugged," which features acoustic versions of nine of his biggest hits and three new tracks. "Tu Recuerdo," the album's first single--featuring Spanish flamenco singer Maria del Mar Rodriguez--spent several weeks atop Billboard's Hot Latin Songs chart. It is streaming at Martin's website and MySpace page.

The "MTV Unplugged" set follows 2005's "Life," which was Martin's first English-language album in five years. During his nearly two-decade career, Martin has sold more than 55 million albums, according to his bio.

The singer recently made headlines when he directed an obscene gesture toward President George W. Bush during a concert in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Martin, who told the Associated Press, "I will always condemn war and those who promulgate it," refused to apologize.

The performer, known for his philanthropic work through the Ricky Martin Foundation, was recently honored as the Latin Recording Academy's "Person of the Year" and was also recently named one of People Magazine's 100 most influential Hispanics.
