Heart still pumping out tour dates

Ann and Nancy Wilson are putting Heart [ tickets ] back on the road this year with sporadic dates booked throughout North America into the fall.

The sister act will start with a few shows on the West Coast in April and hit the Southeast in May. They'll be in Canada for three dates in June and then hit US cities from coast to coast through late September. Details are listed below.

Heart will also be on hand for the VH1 Rock Honors May 24, when the band will be lauded for its lasting mark on rock music. VH1 honored the Wilson sisters last year with its "Decades Rock Live" concert series.

Heart's most recent album is 2004's "Jupiter's Darling," which marked the band's first set of new material since 1993's "Desire Walks On." During the years that Heart was on the back burner, the Wilsons were involved in a side band called The Lovemongers, and each worked on solo projects.

In 2002, Sony's Legacy Recordings issued "The Essential Heart," a two-disc set featuring digitally remastered versions of Heart's '70s- and '80s-era hits. The group followed that with 2003's "Alive in Seattle," which captures the final stop on its 2002 tour.

Heart has sold more than 30 million albums and scored upwards of 20 Top 40 hits during its three-decade-plus career, according to the band's website.
