Just a week after announcing their upcoming US tour, the Deftones [ tickets ] have expanded the itinerary, adding two-nighters in Dallas, San Antonio, Cleveland and Washington, DC, as well as shows in Houston, Nashville, Detroit, the Los Angeles area and St. Louis, MO.

The alt-metal rockers, who are currently in the midst of an extensive European jaunt, will begin their US run May 11 in Mesa, AZ. Other double-shots on the schedule include Albuquerque, New Orleans, and Salt Lake City. Dates, which so far take the band through June, are listed below.

Japanese hard-rockers Dir En Grey and Seattle trio The Fall of Troy [ tickets ], which has a new album due May 1, will open the shows.

The Deftones are living life on the road this year, having already made their way through Mexico, South America, Japan and Australia. Their European shows are listed at their website.

The band is touring behind its fifth studio album, "Saturday Night Wrist," which was released last October. The second single from the set, "Mein," is streaming at the group's MySpace page.

"Saturday Night Wrist" followed The Deftones' 2005 "B-Sides & Rarities" collection and its 2003 self-titled studio album.
