Morrissey finalizes US trek

The full itinerary has been revealed for Morrissey 's extensive US tour, which starts April 27 in Stockton, CA.

The British alt-rock icon will play nearly 50 dates all over the States through July, according to webzine True To You, a publication endorsed by Morrissey. His touring band will include guitarists Boz Boorer and Jesse Tobias, keyboardist/trumpeter Michael Farrell, bassist Solomon Walker and drummer Matt Walker.

Alternative singer/songwriter Kristeen Young will fill the support slot on all dates, which are listed below.

Ticket sales start Friday (3/30) in a few cities, with the majority of general onsales beginning Saturday (3/31). Details are available at the True To You website.

Morrissey rose to prominence in the '80s as the vocalist for influential British band The Smiths. His eighth solo album, "Ringleader of the Tormentors," hit the streets last April, and followed 2004's "You Are The Quarry." According to his bio, "Ringleader" is the most disturbing record Morrissey has made since his work with The Smiths and it also marks the first time the singer, who previously took a vow of celibacy, sings graphically about sex.

A few songs from "Ringleader" are streaming at Morrissey's MySpace page, where the full album is available for download.
