Mya, Clipse highlight Seagram's Live lineup
R&B singer Mya and rap duo Clipse will highlight the latest incarnation of the Seagram's Live tour, with singer Jovan Dais adding additional support to the trek.
The tour, which returns after taking a breather in 2006, will hit nightclubs in 11 cities--most of them situated in the South--kicking off April 7 in Memphis. The outing will finish up a little more than three weeks later with a date in Miami.
Now in it's eighth year of existence, the Seagram's Live tour looks to "showcase hip-hop and R&B's new and established talents at the country's hottest venues, while raising money for causes important to the urban community," according to the company.
"I am absolutely thrilled to be a part of Seagram's Live 2007," Mya said in a press release. "It's an honor to be part of this tour, especially since Seagram's Gin has long been committed to urban music and to presenting a tour that lets fans experience music in a whole new way by allowing them to connect with the artists like never before."
The singer--who earned a Grammy nomination in 2001 for her vocals on "Lady Marmalade," along with Christina Aguilera, Lil' Kim and Pink--recently put the finishing touches on her fourth studio album, "Liberation." The first single from the set, "Lock U Down," features a guest vocal from rapper Lil' Wayne.
Virginia hip-hop duo Clipse, featuring brothers Pusha T and Malice, continue to back their second album, last year's "Hell Hath no Fury."
Newcomer Dais first gained attention with his 2004 breakout hit, "Fedex." The singer is currently working on his first full-length album.
