My Chemical Romance adds Canada to 'Parade' jaunt
Theatrical alt-rockers My Chemical Romance have added more Canadian shows to their Black Parade world tour.
The band, which will finish a US trek next week, is beginning a European leg March 20 with shows in the UK, France, Germany, Sweden and Denmark through April 10. My Chemical Romance will resume its North American run--with Muse in the opening slot--April 14, visiting US cities primarily in the South and East along with six Canadian provinces through May.
The band will return to its home state of New Jersey May 5 to headline the first day of the Bamboozle Festival in East Rutherford.
Domestic dates are listed below; overseas shows can be found at MCR's website.
My Chemical Romance is supporting its October set, "The Black Parade," which debuted at No. 2 on The Billboard 200 album chart. A couple of singles and videos from the record are streaming at MCR's MySpace page.
The album follows 2004's platinum-selling "Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge" and the band's 2 DVD/CD package, "Life on the Murder Scene," which was released a year ago. That collection chronicles the band's history and includes music videos and live performances.
