Hinder extends 'Extreme' tour

As promised, rock band Hinder has extended its tour by booking its first-ever European run for next month before returning Stateside for more dates into May.

The band, which is currently riding high on its hit single "Lips of an Angel," will spend a few more weeks primarily in the South and Southeast before heading to Europe for shows in Sweden, Germany, Holland, France and the UK. College and festival gigs in the Eastern US follow from mid-April through mid-May. US dates are listed below; overseas shows can be found at Hinder's website.

The group continues to support its 2005 debut, "Extreme Behavior," which recently scored double-platinum status. Several songs, including the album's debut single, "Get Stoned," are streaming at Hinder's website and MySpace page.

The Oklahoma City-based fivesome has proudly declared its dedication to bringing back the good ol' days of sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll, and the spirit of arena-rock grandeur.

"We wanted to go out there and kick ass like they did in the '80s," vocalist Austin Winkler said in the band's bio.

Hinder will spend most of this year touring before starting work on its sophomore album, according to the band's website.
