Sasquatch! fest announces lineup
The Beastie Boys , Bjork and The Arcade Fire top the list of more than 50 acts that will play this year's Sasquatch! Music Festival over Memorial Day Weekend--May 26-27--at the Gorge Amphitheatre in George, WA.
Others that will perform at the three-stage fest include Interpol , Spoon, Manu Chao, Neko Case, Michael Franti & Spearhead, M.I.A., Citizen Cope, Bad Brains and The Hold Steady. In keeping with its original goals, the event will showcase artists local to the Northwest on the Yeti Stage. The initial lineup is listed below and more acts will be announced.
Tickets go on sale March 3 and will be offered at a discount--$55 per day (plus $1 for charity)--during that weekend. The price then goes up to $65. A limited number of Solid Gold Supertickets are also available for $500 per person; they are two-day passes sold only in pairs to those 21 and older. Details about the Supertickets can be found at the Sasquatch! website.
On-site camping, available May 25-27, can be purchased on a separate ticket for $40 per vehicle, per day (there is a discount for a three-day pass). Premier campsites are also available for an additional fee.
This year's Sasquatch! is the festival's sixth. The event began in 2001 as a one-day concert to showcase talent from the Pacific Northwest. It has since grown into an international event with international press.
This year marks the first time that Sasquatch! is teaming with Esurance and Sustainable Energy Partners to make the festival a certified carbon-neutral event, according to a press release.
