The Killers reveal initial dates for spring trek
Currently preparing for an assault on Europe over the next two months, Las Vegas rockers The Killers have announced dates for the first leg of their spring US tour.
The initial leg of the tour covers most of the month of April, with the band kicking off the trek April 4 in Santa Barbara, CA. Tickets for the tour leg's 15 shows go on sale to the public Feb. 3, while members of the band's official fan club can jump to the front of the line and pre-order tickets to the upcoming shows.
The group's full European itinerary is available at its official website.
Released last October, "Sam's Town" is the follow-up to The Killers' 2004 debut, "Hot Fuss." The new disc features the cut "When You Were Young," which is currently streaming at Island's website. According to a posting on the band's website, the group recently finished shooting the video for the album's second single, "Read My Mind."
The Killers made a name for themselves with "Hot Fuss," which spawned the singles "Somebody Told Me," "Mr. Brightside" and "All These Things I've Done." The album is certified triple-platinum, signifying US shipment of 3 million copies.
