Weekend Ticketing: Rod Stewart, Eric Clapton, Bob Seger, TV on the Radio, Indigo Girls

After spending the past several years covering standards, veteran singer Rod Stewart has turned his attention back to rock music, and is working the road behind his late-2006 release, "Still the Same ... Great Rock Classics of Our Time."

Tickets go on sale Saturday (1/27) for Stewart's upcoming tour stops in Kansas City, MO; San Antonio, TX; Dallas, TX; Winnipeg, Manitoba; and St. Paul, MN. Tickets for many of the other stops on his 50-date tour are already on sale.

Eric Clapton launches the second leg of his North American tour in Dallas late next month, and will make about a dozen stops throughout the Southwest, Midwest and West Coast. Robert Cray will hold down the opening slot, as he did on Clapton's most recent East Coast dates.

Bob Seger continues to pound the pavement with his Silver Bullet Band during an outing that is the Detroit-area rocker's first extensive roadtrip since 1996.

Tickets go on sale Saturday (1/27) for Seger's upcoming appearances in Lexington, KY; and Columbus, OH.

Eclectic rockers TV on the Radio have lined up another slate of headlining shows behind their critically acclaimed release, "Return to Cookie Mountain," and are scheduled to return to the road in early March to tackle a 28-date itinerary that runs through late April.

Tickets go on sale Saturday (1/27) for the Brooklyn-based act's planned performances in Madison, WI; and Philadelphia, PA; and on Sunday (1/28) for a late-March, two-night stand at San Francisco's Fillmore.

Folk-rock vets Indigo Girls have lined up a mid-March, five-night stand at the Mohegan Sun Cabaret in Uncasville, CT. The duo--a.k.a. Emily Saliers and Amy Ray--is backing its 10th studio album, "Despite Our Differences.

Tickets for the Mohegan Sun engagement will hit the box office Monday (1/29) morning.
