Platinum-selling rockers Hinder [ tickets ], who launch a winter headlining tour later this month, have added a number of dates to the run as they continue to support their 2005 debut, "Extreme Behavior."

The band has tacked about a half-dozen shows onto the end of its itinerary, which is now scheduled to wrap with a March 3 performance in New Orleans. Details are included below.

Hinder is riding a wave of popularity that first surged with the hit single "Lips of an Angel," which helped launch "Extreme Behavior" into the No. 6 slot on The Billboard 200 chart in November, more than a year after the set was released. The upswing in sales recently pushed the album to double-platinum status (2 million copies shipped in the US), according to the group's publicist.

In addition to touring the US this year, Hinder is also setting its sights on the international scene.

"We have yet to start touring or any work internationally but the single is off to a blazing start and we can't wait to take our extreme tour to the rest of the world," reads a message posted at the group's website.

The group plans to spend most of the year on tour, and will then begin working on its sophomore album, according to the site.
