Papa Roach heats up with winter shows

Cold temperatures apparently don't bother California rockers Papa Roach , who have booked a spate of early 2007 shows that are mostly set in Canada.

Following a trio of late-January shows in the Northwestern US that begins with a Jan. 23 performance in Portland, OR, the band heads to the Great White North for at least 10 dates that stretch until Feb. 9. Details are shown below, and more dates are expected.

Also listed below are the three remaining 2006 concerts on the bands docket, all of which take place in Texas.

Papa Roach has been working the road behind its September release, "The Paramour Sessions." The set features the lead-off single "To Be Loved," as well as the follow-up cut "Forever." The band is currently inviting fans to submit their own homemade videos for "Forever," and will select one winner whose video will be posted at the band's website and MySpace page. Additional information about the contest is posted at the site.

"The Paramour Sessions" follows 2004's "Getting Away With Murder." During a recent interview with LiveDaily, frontman Jacoby Shaddix talked about the difference between the two albums.

"When we wrote 'Getting Away with Murder,' we were trying to find who we were as a band," he said. "There was a level of confidence there, but after playing it live, touring, getting a solid fan base and getting our success back--not on the strength of hype, but on good songs and a good show--we went back into the studio and the writing of this record with a new sense of confidence. That was one of the key elements in writing this record, because we weren't scared of doing anything."
