Tori Amos Ticket Auction To Benefit RAINN
To support her just-released album "To Venus And Back," Tori Amos will continue on the road sans Alanis Morissette following the late-September conclusion of the "5 1/2 Weeks Tour." The Amos camp has announced that she'll play eight U.S. concerts between Sept. 29 and Oct. 11.
Maverick Recording artist Jude, currently on the radio with the single ''I'm Sorry Now,'' will support. Following the U.S. shows, Amos will pack her piano and embark on a European promotional tour that will take her into December.
As she has often done in the past, Amos has donated two pairs of premium tickets for each of her solo shows to raise money for RAINN, the Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network. The tickets are being auctioned on the Yahoo! Charity Auctions website, and all of the proceeds will go to operate RAINN's free hotline for victims of sexual assault. Top bidders and their guests will have the opportunity to meet Amos backstage at the show.
Amos is also scheduled to appear on Late Night With Conan O'Brien on Oct. 14 and The Rosie O'Donnell Show on Oct. 20.
