Taste of Chaos solidifies 2007 lineup

As previously reported via an interview with Jared Leto of 30 Seconds to Mars , the band will be a featured act on next year's Rockstar Taste of Chaos tour with headliners The Used , as well as newly announced acts Senses Fail, Saosin, Chiodos, Aiden and Evaline.

The tour, which kicks off Feb. 15 in Seattle, is scheduled to hit 41 cities in the United States and Canada through mid-April. The itinerary is still being finalized.

"We have succeeded in giving a world audience an action-packed lineup for an inexpensive price," tour founder Kevin Lyman, who also created the Warped Tour, said in a press statement. "The success of the tour on a worldwide level has been unprecedented. The 2007 USA and Canada tour is our strongest lineup to date and we are excited to bring this great show to the fans."

Tour sponsors include Best Buy, Guitar Center, Hurley, Chaos Mobile, PETA, Hard Rock Cafe, Hot Topic, PunkStop, 420 Players, Smartpunk, SFA and Ernie Ball (which will provide musical instruments for fans to test out and will pick the opening act through its Ernie Ball Battle of the Bands in conjunction with Chaos Mobile).

Internet pre-sales begin Dec. 1 at chaosmobile.com in conjunction with Music Today.

"Fans can see a big production and enjoy all sorts of interactive concourse activities for the price of going to the movies and eating some popcorn," The Used lead vocalist Bert McCracken said in a press release. "We really support giving our fans a s---load of entertainment for a fair price and this tour accomplishes that ... and we are gonna rock some of our new songs on the tour which we are really excited about."

The Used is planning to release its third album to coincide with the 2007 tour.

30 Seconds to Mars' album "A Beautiful Lie" is nearing platinum status, having spawned the hit "The Kill," which earned the an MTV Video Music Award. The group, which also took home the mtvU Woodie Award for Best Video (Live Action), is touring through the end of the year on the MTV2 $2 Bill "Welcome to the Universe" jaunt.

Sense Fail's second full-length release, "Still Searching," debuted at No. 15 on The Billboard 200 chart in October. The Bergen County, NJ-based act's 2004 full-length, "Let It Enfold You," has sold more than 325,000 copies.

Saosin is touring with the Rockstar Taste of Chaos International tour, which hits Australia, Japan and Europe. The group's self-titled, debut full-length sold about 40,000 copies during its first week in stores.

Warped Tour veterans Chiodos formed while its members were attending high school near Flint, MI, and recently released the full-length "All's Well That Ends Well" on Equal Vision Records.

Aiden recently won the UK magazine Kerrang!'s Best International Newcomer Award over the likes of Panic! At the Disco and Wolfmother. The Seattle quartet sold more than 100,000 copies of its Victory Records' debut "Nightmare Anatomy," and followed that up with last month's Halloween release of an EP/DVD titled"Rain in Hell."

Turlock, CA's Evaline sent to stores in June its six-song EP, "Postpartum modesty. A portrait of skin." Following the tour, the band will record its first full-length LP, which is due out next summer.
