Bloc Party drummer hospitalized
Doctors said Tong was comfortable and not in danger, according to a statement on the band's website.
"He will, however, be staying in the hospital for at least the next three days for observation and it's not clear at this stage when Matt will be fit to resume performing," the statement said.
So far, Bloc Party has canceled gigs in Charlotte, NC (Nov. 10); Fairfax, VA (Nov. 11); and two sold-out shows at New York City's Madison Square Garden (Nov. 13-14).
In addition to the Panic! At The Disco dates--which run through Dec. 9, and will go on as planned--Bloc Party is scheduled to kick off a UK tour Jan. 27. Those dates are listed on the band's website.
Bloc Party's sophomore album, "A Weekend in the City," is set for release in February.
