Taking Back Sunday hits holiday radio shows
Alt-rockers Taking Back Sunday will finish up the European "Taste of Chaos" tour this month, just in time to kick off a December run of holiday radio shows across the US.
The group's "Taste of Chaos" dates can be found at its website and the Christmas radio shows are listed below.
The band's latest album, "Louder Now," was released in April and has since scored gold-album certification. Four songs from the record, including modern rock hit single "MakeDamnSure," are streaming on the band's MySpace page.
The group said in a statement that the goal of "Louder Now" was to capture the energy of the live show.
"It's the record we have always wanted to make," singer Adam Lazzara said. "We brought in every element from every influence we've ever had. It completes the spectrum."
Before the year is up, Taking Back Sunday plans to release a full-length DVD with footage from backstage, the tour bus, hotel rooms, on stage and the homes of some of the members, according to the band's website.
The band was recently honored for its live performance and relentless touring ethic by MTV's college network, mtvU, which gave Taking Back Sunday the Woodie Award for Best Tour.
