Gregg Allman begins tour's second leg
Gregg Allman & Friends--who wrapped up a two-week run in October--will hit the road again beginning Nov. 22 in San Juan Capistrano, CA, and are currently set to remain on the road through mid-January.
More than half of Allman's upcoming shows are on the West Coast, mostly in California, and the majority of the rest are on the East Coast.
The "Friends" in Allman's current lineup are Neil Larson (keyboard), Jerry Jemmott (bass), Steve Potts (drums), Mike C. Barnes (guitar), Jay Collins (sax) and Floyd Miles (percussion), according to a press release.
Honeytribe, which is led by Allman's son Devon, will take the opening slot for most of the gigs.
Allman has been extremely busy lately, touring with The Allman Brothers Band over the summer before he kicked off his current tour. In September, he was inducted into the Georgia Music Hall of Fame (his second honor there, as The Allman Brothers Band was inducted in 1998).
