B.B. King sets dates into April
Even at 81 years old, B.B. King is touring like a madman.
The blues great just started a new string of dates running through April that will take him all over the US, and to Brazil for a week.
The Brazilian gigs, Nov. 30 - Dec. 7, come just in time for the blues legend to keep his vow of not touring abroad anymore after 2006. Details on those dates are available at his official website.
Despite taking it easy on the international circuit, the tour itinerary below makes it clear that King is nowhere near retirement.
"As long as people buy my records and come to my concerts, I don't see anything else I'd like to do," the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer said in a statement earlier this year.
Last month, King played four shows at his namesake clubs in Nashville and Memphis that were recorded for the forthcoming "Live at B.B. King's" DVD and soundtrack, according to the Memphis Commercial Appeal. A release date has not been set as of yet.
The entertainer, who has released more than 50 albums in his career, is a 14-time Grammy winner. His latest recording, "80" (an album of duets to mark his 80th birthday), took the trophy for Best Traditional Blues Album in February.
