Rolling Stones shuffle schedule due to illness
The Rolling Stones have made several changes to their tour plans to give frontman Mick Jagger time to recover from throat problems.
Just hours before the Stones were scheduled to take the stage last Friday (10/27), Jagger's problems forced the postponement of the group's planned performance at Atlantic City, NJ's Boardwalk Hall, according to a press release issued by the band. That show has since been rescheduled for Nov. 17.
According to the Stones' camp, Jagger has been ordered to by a doctor to rest his voice.
The Stones have also postponed tonight's (10/31) planned show at New York City's Beacon Theatre until tomorrow (11/1). That performance will be filmed as part of director Martin Scorsese's forthcoming Stones' concert film.
In the wake of the postponements, the group has cancelled their planned Nov. 22 show in Honolulu, and also rescheduled upcoming shows in Oakland, CA; Los Angeles; and Vancouver, British Columbia. Details are in the itinerary below.
