Hip-hop Scream Tour adds Yung Joc, Jibbs
Rappers Yung Joc and Jibbs are the latest addition to the Scream Tour 5, a teen-oriented traveling festival destined for 17 stops around the country through the end of the year.
This year's tour, the fifth annual for the event, is headlined by Omarion and Ne-Yo , and also features rappers Mario, Pretty Ricky, Sammie and Usher's new group One Chance.
The tour, which is being sponsored this year by BET, kicks off Nov. 22 in Miami before hitting major urban centers throughout the country, finally winding down New Year's Eve in Washington, DC.
"The Scream Tour is the most successful teen concert series America has ever witnessed," event producer, Michael Mauldin, of Maudin Brand Agency, said in a press release. "For five years, it has always been synonymous with being the launching pad for the next big 'young star.'
"As in times past, we know that this year's line-up will have an overwhelming response from crowds across the country as we continue the Scream Tour legacy and give our fans a Christmas gift they will not forget, until we do it again next year."
Omarion's second album, "21," is due in stores Dec. 12, while Ne-Yo is still backing his debut from earlier this year, "In My Own Words."
