Deftones set up more 'Saturday Night' shows
With the release of their new album, "Saturday Night Wrist," quickly approaching, Deftones are stacking up fall tour dates to support the set.
The group, which last month unveiled a half-dozen November theater shows, has added 14 new shows that extend the itinerary into early December. Details are included below.
On Halloween, Deftones will give fans a treat in the form of "Saturday Night Wrist," their first release since a 2003 self-titled set.
"It's definitely a progression, as all the Deftones albums are," bassist Chi Cheng told LiveDaily during a recent interview. "I would say it's more, more like [2000's platinum-certified] 'White Pony' because it's got a lot of ups and downs. The last album was kind of dark and heavy and straightforward. This album's a lot more melodic."
"Saturday Night Wrist" features the cut "Hole in the Earth," which is currently available through iTunes, and is streaming at Deftones' MySpace page.
