Angels and Airwaves plot new wave of shows
The group, supported on the trek by Swedish indie-rockers The Sounds, will kick off its outing Nov. 3 in Las Vegas. Tickets for all of the November tour's 15 stops are currently on sale. The full itinerary is listed below.
Fronted by former Blink-182 leader Tom DeLonge, Angels and Airwaves released "We Don't Need to Whisper" in May.
DeLonge recruited guitarist David Kennedy (formerly of DeLonge's Blink-182 side-project Box Car Racers), ex-Distillers bassist Ryan Sinn and ex-Offspring drummer Atom Willard to assemble the band, which came together during an official hiatus from Blink-182, he said in his new band's online bio.
"I didn't have a career, I didn't have a band, I didn't have music happening in my life and I was torn apart," he said. "I knew if I could create a year where I turned my life around, and envisioned myself doing wonderful things, that I could challenge other people to do the same."
After recording its debut disc, Angels and Airwaves made its public debut in April before a packed audience in Pomona, CA. A month-long headlining tour followed the album's release.
The Sounds released their sophomore effort, "Dying to Say This to You," in March.
