Briefly: Daniel Powter, Massive Attack, Coheed & Cambria, Clay Aiken
A new CD/DVD edition of Daniel Powter 's self-titled debut album will be issued on Nov. 7.
The CD will include the new track "Love You Lately," which Powter began performing on tour earlier this year, as well as three b-sides.
The DVD contains four music videos--including the clip for his No. 1 single "Bad Day," as well as concert footage and an eight-song live performance that was taped in Los Angeles, among other features.
Massive Attack has canceled three concert appearances--including its planned headlining appearance at this weekend's Virgin Festival in Toronto--because the group encountered visa problems.
"Despite timely and coordinated efforts, the essential US immigration visas were not issued in time for the beginning of the Massive Attack North American tour," said a press release issued by concert promoter Live Nation. "Subsequently, the band has been forced to cancel the first four shows (Toronto, 9/10, Montreal, 9/11, Detroit 9/12, Chicago, 9/13). Currently, the rest of the tour remains intact. "
Rockers Coheed & Cambria 's second concert DVD, "The Last Supper: Live at Hammerstein Ballroom," is due in stores on Halloween. The DVD was filmed at the New York venue in May.
President George W. Bush plans to name pop singer Clay Aiken to the President's Committee for People with Intellectual Disabilities, according to a White House press release.
According to the committee's mission statement, "Since 1966, the Committee has fostered State planning, stimulated development of strategies, policies and programs and advanced the concept of community participation in the field of intellectual disabilities."
