Briefly: Snoop Dogg, DMX, The Darkness, Frankie J
The set, originally scheduled to reach stores Oct. 19, is now due on Nov. 21. The video for the album's Neptunes-produced first single, "Vato" (featuring Cypress Hill's B-Real), is scheduled to premiere next week, according to a press release.
Rapper DMX will soon head to the Persian Gulf region for a USO tour, during which he'll perform for troops and hold meet-and-greets with service members, according to a USO press release.
The Darkness frontman Justin Hawkins entered a rehab facility earlier this month, according to a statement posted on the band's website.
Addressing rumors that the development meant the demise of the band and its label contract, the message said, "We would however like to make it clear that this emphatically does not signal the end for The Darkness, nor are their label Atlantic Records considering 'dropping' them. On the contrary they have taken up their option with the band and are looking forward to releasing The Darkness' third album in early 2007."
Frankie J , formerly of The Kumbia Kings, will issue his third English-language solo album, "Priceless," on Oct. 17.
His previous solo album, 2005's "The One," debuted at No. 3 on The Billboard 200 album chart, and is certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America for shipping more than a million copies.
