"Port of Miami," the debut set from Rick Ross , moved about 187,000 copies during its first week in stores, enough to earn the Florida-based rapper a No. 1 debut on the forthcoming Billboard 200 album chart.
"Phobia," the latest from Breaking Benjamin, follows with a No. 2 debut thanks to first-week sales of about 125,000 copies, according to Hollywood Records.
The two new debuts push the 22nd installment in the "NOW That's what I call Music!" compilation series from its No. 1 perch down to No. 3.
The self-titled debut from Cassie slips in at No. 4 with sales of about 100,000 copies, and Slayer rounds out the Top 5 with its new disc, "Christ Illusion," which moved about 62,000 copies, according to Billboard.
Christina Aguilera and The All-American Rejects are the latest additions to the list of acts scheduled to perform during this month's MTV Video Music Awards ceremony.
Also confirmed are: Beyonce, Panic! at the Disco, T.I., The Killers, Ludacris with Pharrell, The Raconteurs and Justin Timberlake.
In addition to those performers, the ceremony--which is scheduled to take place Aug. 31 at New York City's Radio City Music Hall and will air live on MTV--will include appearances from Jennifer Lopez, Jessica Simpson, Chris Brown, Fall Out Boy, Rihanna, Jared Leto, Busta Rhymes, Shaun White, Ne-Yo, Missy Elliott, the cast of "Jackass," Amy Lee of Evanescence, Lil Jon and Nick Lachey.
More performers and presenters will be announced shortly, according to MTV.
The debut album from former "American Idol" contestant Chris Daughtry will arrive in stores Nov. 21, according to 19 Recordings/RCA Records.
"I'm writing on my own, as well as getting together with some great artists and songwriters who I've always respected and who have expressed an interest in collaborating with me," Daughtry said in a press release.
Among those collaborators are Brad Arnold (Three Doors Down), Carl Bell (Fuel), Mitch Allan (SR-71) and Rob Thomas (Matchbox 20), according to a press release.
Rock producer Howard Benson (All American Rejects, Papa Roach, My Chemical Romance, Hoobastank) is helming the project.
Moby has announced a Nov. 6 release date for "Go - The Very Best of Moby." The hits collection will include the new cut "New York New York," which features singer Debbie Harry (Blondie).
