Toby Keith headed for the big screen

Country singer Toby Keith will make his silver screen debut Sept. 8 when the film "Broken Bridges," co-starring Kelly Preston, opens in theaters.

According to his website, Keith stars as Bo Price, a washed-up country singer whose life changes after returning home to Tennessee to deal with the deaths of his and his former high school sweetheart's (Preston as Angela Delton) brothers. In Tennessee, he reunites with Angela and meets his 16-year-old daughter Dixie (Lindsey Haun) for the first time.

The Paramount/CMT Films production co-stars Burt Reynolds and Tess Harper, with cameo appearances by Willie Nelson and BeBe Winans.

The soundtrack hits stores Aug. 29, and features seven songs by Keith. Rounding out the soundtrack are tracks by Haun, Nelson, Winans, Flynnville Train, Rushlow Harris and score music by Grammy Award-winning producer Randy Scruggs.

The soundtrack's first single, "Broken," is performed by Haun, an actress, singer and songwriter who is working on her debut album. "Broken" will be released to country radio later this summer.

Keith and Haun duet on the title track, and Keith joins Nelson and Winans for a version of the spiritual "Uncloudy Day."

The soundtrack's tracklisting follows:

1. "Broken Bridges," Toby Keith and Lindsey Haun
2. "Thinkin' 'Bout You," Fred Eaglesmith
3. "Crash Here Tonight," Toby Keith
4. "Broken," Lindsey Haun
