Montgomery Gentry preps new album, mounts tour
Country duo Montgomery Gentry , who next week deliver the first single from their forthcoming album, are in the midst of a run on the summer fair circuit.
The pair--Eddie Montgomery and Troy Gentry--continue their trek with a performance tonight (7/14) in Morristown, OH, and are scheduled to play two-dozen shows by the end of September. The itinerary, which is shown below, includes a Sept. 2 concert in Antioch, TN, with country legend Hank Williams Jr.
On Tuesday (7/17), a new Montgomery Gentry single titled "Some People Change" is scheduled to hit radio stations. The cut will appear on the duo's as-yet-untitled new album. No release date has been announced, but information posted earlier this year at the pair's website touts an August release.
The site also features a streaming-video, behind-the-scenes look into the making of "Some People Change."
The forthcoming album follows 2004's "You Do Your Thing," which features the hit single "Something to Be Proud Of." Montgomery Gentry are scheduled to perform that song during a televised CMA Music Festival special that airs July 24 on ABC-TV.
