Tim McGraw, Faith Hill back on track after postponements

Tim McGraw and Faith Hill called off two co-headlining performances in recent days after McGraw came down with a case of bronchitis, but the husband-and-wife country stars will return to action tonight (7/5).

The Soul2Soul II tour's planned shows July 1 in Cleveland, OH, and July 2 in Charleston, WV, were postponed while McGraw recovered. The Cleveland date has since been rescheduled for July 30, and "a decision will be made soon on the rescheduling of the Charleston show," according to an update recently posted at the tour's website.

The trek is scheduled to resume in New Orleans tonight with a benefit show at New Orleans Arena, the proceeds from which will benefit Hurricane Katrina recovery efforts.

In addition to donating the proceeds from the show to relief organizations in Louisiana and Mississippi (through the couple's Neighbor's Keeper Foundation), half of the floor seats were given away to volunteer workers helping the recovery. Other tickets were sold at a discount, according to a press release.

The "Soul2Soul II" tour, which is a revival of McGraw and Hill's 2000 joint trek, kicked off in late April. By the time it winds down in September, McGraw and Hill will have played 74 concerts in 56 cities, according to organizers.

In March, McGraw issued "Tim McGraw Reflected: Hits Vol. 2," which includes the new tracks "When the Stars Go Blue" and "I've Got Friends That Do." The disc debuted at No. 2 on The Billboard 200 chart. His most recent collection of all-new material is 2004's "Live Like You Were Dying."

Hill is backing last year's "Fireflies," which debuted at No. 1 on The Billboard 200 album chart. The 14-track set spawned the hit single "Mississippi Girl," and Grammy-winning cut "Like We Never Loved at All," a duet with McGraw that earned the couple a trophy for Best Country Collaboration with Vocals.
