Breaking Benjamin lays out 'Phobia' summer dates
Alternative-metal band Breaking Benjamin will back its upcoming third album, "Phobia," with a five-week summer tour includes several dates opening for Staind.
The Pennsylvania-based group will launch its tour close to home with a July 21 show in Philadelphia, and then canvas the Midwest before ultimately heading south for their dates with Staind.
Pre-sales for the upcoming concerts are available through the band's Hollywood Records website.
"Phobia," the band's third studio album, follows 2004's "We Are Not Alone." David Bendeth, who handled production duties on the band's previous album, does the same for the new one.
"The goal was to make a solid, mature and cohesive record, not just a few singles and filler," bassist Markus James said in the band's online bio. "We had some time to live with the songs and as a result the album is much more thought-out. I've never felt this strong about any album. This was our second time working with David so everything was a lot smoother this time around. We've all gotten a lot better at our craft and we knew we needed to take it to a higher level."
The album's first single, "The Diary of Jane," launched June 6 and garnered heavy airplay on alternative rock radio stations.
Breaking Benjamin made its recording debut in 2002 with the album "Saturate."
