Korn forks out free Family Values Tour tickets with DVD

Korn fans who pick up the group's recently released concert DVD, "Korn: Live on the Other Side," and also buy a pair of lawn tickets for the group's upcoming Family Values Tour might be able to score a second pair of lawn seats for free.

The first 70,000 copies of "Live on the Other Side" include a voucher that can be exchanged for two free lawn tickets at the time that the voucher's owner buys an additional pair of lawn tickets, according to tour promoter Live Nation. The offer is the latest in a series of unique promotions that Live Nation and Korn--who, along with Korn's label, EMI, signed a precedent-setting three-way revenue-sharing deal earlier this year--have offered in conjunction with the tour.

Last month, Korn frontman Jonathan Davis "distributed tens of thousands of dollars to fans by throwing $10 bills to thousands of people in connection with the Family Values Tour $9.99 lawn ticket price," according to a press release issued at the time.

Korn's resurrected Family Values Tour--which will also features main-stage acts Deftones , Stone Sour, Flyleaf and Dir en Grey, as well as a roster of second-stage performers--kicks off at the end of July. Organizers recently added about a half-dozen dates to the itinerary, including stops in Southern California, Toronto, Buffalo, Indianapolis, Tampa and Boston areas. Details are included below.

Released June 20, "Live on the Other Side" captures the Korn's Nov. 25, 2005 performance at New York City's Hammerstein Ballroom. In addition to concert footage, the DVD includes a 37-minute documentary, behind-the-scenes footage, never-before-seen interviews with the band members, music videos and more, according to the band's website.
