Tim McGraw, Faith Hill keep 'Soul2Soul' tour rolling
With more than a month of their "Soul2Soul II" co-headlining tour now behind them, husband-and-wife duo Tim McGraw and Faith Hill still have plenty of roadwork ahead.
Since last check, the couple has filled the few cracks left in the itinerary by adding stops in a half-dozen cities, including New Orleans and Bossier City, LA; Memphis, TN; Des Moines, IA; Little Rock, AR; and a three-night stand in Las Vegas that extends the in-progress run into early September. Details are included below.
Tickets for all of the currently confirmed shows are on sale now and, due to heavy demand, "organizers are seeking ways to release seats to the general public that were originally held to accommodate potential areas needed for the staging," according to a press release.
The "Soul2Soul II" tour, which is a revival of McGraw and Hill's 2000 joint trek, kicked off in late April. By the time it winds down in September, McGraw and Hill will have played 74 concerts in 56 cities, according to organizers.
In March, McGraw issued "Tim McGraw Reflected: Hits Vol. 2," which includes the new tracks "When the Stars Go Blue" and "I've Got Friends That Do." The disc debuted at No. 2 on The Billboard 200 chart. His most recent collection of all-new material is 2004's "Live Like You Were Dying."
Hill is backing last year's "Fireflies," which debuted at No. 1 on The Billboard 200 album chart. The 14-track set spawned the hit single "Mississippi Girl," and Grammy-winning cut "Like We Never Loved at All," a duet with McGraw that earned the couple a trophy for Best Country Collaboration with Vocals.
Together, the couple has sold a combined 60 million albums and has racked up six Grammys, 17 American Music Awards, 22 Country Music Association Awards, 11 No. 1 albums and more than 35 No. 1 singles, according to a press release.
