Singer/songwriter Jackie Greene [ tickets ], currently pushing his recent third album, "American Myth," has mapped out an extensive itinerary for himself as he tackles a domestic summer tour.

The young California native and his band are set to make their next appearance May 21 in Roseville, CA, continuing a festival-heavy schedule that will run into early September..

A special performance May 25 in Sacramento, CA, will feature Greene teaming up with fellow singer/songwriter Tim Bluhm for an evening of acoustic performances.

Released in March, "American Myth" is Greene's first recording for his new label, Verve Forecast. The singer released two albums of original material for Dig Records, including his 2002 debut, "Gone Wanderin'," as well as "Rusty Nails," a 2003 release that included material from earlier in Greene's career.

Greene's lineup of studio musicians for "American Myth" included drummer Pete Thomas and bassist Pete Faragher, both members of Elvis Costello's longtime backing group, The Imposters. Steve Berlin of Los Lobos also appears on the record.

Dig Music owner Marty DeAnda discovered Greene during an open-mic performance in Sacramento in the early part of the decade and signed him to a contract, also becoming Greene's manager in the process.
