Sevendust Returns From Europe For North American Club Tour
Hard-touring industrial rockers Sevendust , who have logged more than 300 shows in the last couple of years, have announced a series of club dates leading up to their slot on the upcoming mini-tour with Metallica . The band is currently touring in Europe behind their sophomore album, "Home" (TVT), which was released in August.
The band, which appeared at Woodstock '99, Ozzfest, and the Warped and Family Values tours earlier this year, is scheduled to return to North America in time for a Nov. 26 performance in Fayetteville, N.C. Among the support acts that will appear on many of the late November and early December bills are Static-X , Dope and Chevelle .
Sevendust's stint with Metallica opens at Miami's Orange Bowl Stadium on Dec. 27, and will be followed with a Dec. 29 show at the Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Fla. The stadium shows will also feature Creed and Kid Rock. From there, Sevendust joins Metallica, Ted Nugent, Kid Rock, and Methods of Mayhem for a New Year's Eve show at the Pontiac Silverdome near Detroit.
Metallica's mini-tour continues in early January with appearances in the Cleveland, Milwaukee, Chicago and Minneapolis areas, and Sevendust will continue in its support slot, as will Kid Rock.
''Home'' has so far topped out at No. 151 on the Billboard 200 album chart, and is currently at No. 185. The band's debut album went Gold (more than 500,000 copies shipped to retailers).
