Charts: Beatles hold steady, 'Save the Last Dance' jumps to No. 3
Amassing 27 No. 1 hits released 30 to 40 years ago and placing them on one album has proven fruitful for the Beatles, whose “1” (Capitol) compilation holds on to the album chart’s top spot for the seventh week in a row, according to industry sources. The rest of the Top 10 sees relatively little movement as well, with the exception of the “Save the Last Dance” (Hollywood) soundtrack, which makes its inaugural appearance near the top of the chart.
