Affectionately dubbed "Acca Dacca" in their homeland of Australia, Rock and Roll Hall of Famers AC/DC have been on the scene since 1973, earning their place among the genre's greats with their instantly recognizable mix of crunching riffs and gutteral vocals.

The band broke through with 1979's "Highway to Hell"--only their 2nd album--featuring then-lead-singer Bon Scott, who died the following year of alcohol poisoning. The group carried on with another powerful vocalist, Brian Johnson, and went on to produce "Back in Black" a mere five months later. To date, that record reportedly has sold 42 million units worldwide.

In support of their new album "Black Ice" the group is currently on the US and Canadian leg of their first world tour since 2001. LiveDaily's Tim Mosenfelder attended their show in Oakland California last night (12/2), and here are some of the highlights.
