John Lennon art exhibit opens in New York

An exhibit of John Lennon's drawings opened yesterday (10/9) iat the Openhouse Gallery in New York City's SoHo district--on what would have been the former Beatle's 68th birthday.

Billed under the title "Imagine Peace," the exhibit of more than 100 doodles and drawings will be shown through Sunday (10/12).

A controversial series of lithographs called "Bag One," depicting scenes from Lennon's and Yoko Ono's honeymoon, once was seized by Britain's Scotland Yard while on display at another exhibit. The current exhibition also features some of Lennon's erotic drawings.
