Mindy McCready began serving a 60-day jail sentence in Williamson County, TN, yesterday (9/30), according to The Tennessean.com. The two-month incarceration is the result of a plea agreement in a probation violation case.

McCready, who had been on probation for a 2004 prescription drug fraud charge, was arrested in June for allegedly falsifying her community service report; the country singer reportedly claimed more community service hours than actually served.

This year's jail time will be the second stint behind bars for McCready. In September 2007, she was sentenced to a year in jail for violating probation. However, she reportedly was released in December 2007 with extended probation and community service obligations.
