Acclaimed drummer Earl Palmer dies
Session drummer Earl Palmer , 84, died Friday (9/19) at his home in Los Angeles, according to published reports.
Palmer, who was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2000, played on numerous hit songs including The Righteous Brothers' "You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin'," Ike and Tina Turner's "River Deep, Mountain High" and Little Richard's "Tutti Frutti."
He also had worked with Frank Sinatra, Neil Young and Phil Spector among numerous others.
Palmer is survived by seven children.
