New Smashing Pumpkins DVD on the way

The Smashing Pumpkins are scheduled to release a two-disc commemorative-DVD package Nov. 11. Titled "If All Goes Wrong," the set contains a 105-minute documentary and a full concert that was filmed over 11 sold-out nights during the band's summer 2007 residency at the Fillmore Auditorium in San Francisco, according to a press release.

The documentary traces the band during their 2007 19-show residency, which began with eight shows at the Orange Peel in Asheville, NC, and continued through the 11-night run in San Francisco. Footage includes interviews with band members, fans, journalists and fellow musicians.

The DVD collection also includes a bonus interview with Pete Townshend and a featurette about the band's fans called "Voices of the Ghost Children."

The concert portion, entitled "The Fillmore Residency" includes seven new songs, alternate versions of fan favorites and a selection of Pumpkins rarities. It also includes five songs recorded live from the floor of The Fillmore, providing at-home viewers with the perspective of the Fillmore audience.
